Discover how our 302.4 kWp solar plant, battery storage system, and green innovation reduce 253 tons of CO₂ and secure uninterrupted production.
A New Dawn for Brewing
At Swiss African Pure Brewery (SAPB), we’re thrilled to announce a historic milestone: our brewery is now powered 100% by solar energy. This significant step underscores our dedication to innovation, sustainability, and uncompromising quality in every brew.
To amplify this achievement, Investir au Cameroun published a compelling video highlighting our transition to solar power.

Why We Chose Solar
Frequent power outages were a recurring hurdle, they disrupted brewing cycles and occasionally compromised consistency. We needed a solution that would:
- Stabilize production, regardless of grid reliability
- Preserve product quality for consumers
- Reduce environmental impact
- Lower long-term operational costs
Solar energy ticked all the boxes. With it, we generate clean power, reduce dependence on unstable grids, and reaffirm our role as a forward-thinking brewery.
Inside Our Solar Infrastructure
Here’s a look at the technical highlights of our solar installation:
- Installed capacity: 302.4 kWp
- Solar modules: 540 Longi monocrystalline panels (560 W each)
- Inverters: 6 hybrid Deye inverters (50 kW each)
- Annual output: ~408,000 kWh — meeting 100% of our energy needs
- Battery storage: 368.6 kWh of Deye BOS-G lithium batteries
The batteries allow us to store excess energy generated during daylight and deploy it during periods of low sun or outages, ensuring continuous operations around the clock.

Environmental Impact & Carbon Savings
By shifting to solar, SAPB slashes approximately 253 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year, the equivalent of taking dozens of cars off the road. This is more than just a statistic: it’s a tangible step toward future-proof, eco-responsible brewing.
Our solar adoption isn’t just a technological upgrade: it’s a statement. At SAPB, we believe that innovation and sustainability go hand in hand. By adopting renewable energy at scale, we are positioning ourselves as a leader in sustainable brewing in Cameroon and beyond.
We’re grateful to our community, partners, and customers who share in this vision. Together, we’re making cleaner beer, building stronger systems, and redefining what it means to brew responsibly.
Here’s to a future of sunshine, sustainability, and exceptional beer.
